Technology Game Rez Shoulder Rig One
problem with game models is the shoulder collapsing. Due to the limitations
of joint counts and morph targets the solution needs to be relatively
simple and light weight. In the test I created I added 6 joints around
the shoulder. Two are for the pectoral muscle and its insertion point.
Two are for the trapezious and its insertion point. The last two are
for the shoulder blade. The two bones for the muscles stretch and twist
as the shoulder moves. The shoulder blade is constreind to two points
one anchored to the rib cage and one anchored to the clavical causing
it to float as the shoulder rotates. The constraints would be baked
out at export.
